it is reduce cost in development and can bring and deliver the application in a short time.
it is a cloud technology, so it is available online, no need to install software nor hardware necessary.
you can make application online or you can buy online from AppExchange as the market for sell and buy any application.

Data types such as integer, Double, Long, Date, Date Time, String, ID, Boolean, etcs.. are primitive data types in sfdc that are can passed by value not by reference.

Boolean; vaiables that set as true or false or null.
Date; value that indicate a particular day,
          created by system static method,
syntax, Date dt=Date.newInstance(2014,01,06) will produce 2014-01-06 00:00:00

Time and Date Time; we can construct date and time values as;

Time t=Time.newInstance(11,30,3,3) output result 11:30:03.003Z
Datetime dt=Datetime.now() output result 2014-01-06 11:30:03
Date dt=Date.today() out result 2014-01-06 00:00:00
Time t=DateTime.now().time() output result 11:30:03.003Z

Integer; 32 bit number that doesnt include decimal points
             start from -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647


Long; 64 bit number that doesnt include decimal points
          start from -2^63 to 2^63-1


Double; 64 bit number with decimal points
          start from -2^63 to 2^63-1

Decimal; 32 bit number with decimal points

Reports are important in any business.
By reports:
- provide clear picture to the management.
- report used to track progress toward various goals,
- used to control expenditures and increase revenues.
- predict trend to increasing profits.

There are 4 types of reports format in salesforce:
1. Tabula report/simple listing data without any grouping and sub-totals.
2.  Summary report; provide listing data with grouping and sub-totals.
3. Matrix report; group record both by rows and columns.
4. Joined report; blocked of information in single report.
    enabling to use 5 different blocks to display different types of related datas.
    Each block can have unique columns, summary fields, formulas, filters and sort orders.

We could then binding data generated by report or multiple reports in graphical representation called "Dashboard"

dashboard component could be charts, gauge, tables, metric and other component that can be made with "VisualForce".
